This exercise becomes after my participation at the Hiroshi Hara’s Workshop in Montevideo Uruguay.
His ideas about contemporary architecture and his proposal of a “discrete city” were the starting point for this font.
Discrete is a system that allows connectability and separability at the same time. In a discrete city all distances are the same. In a discrete set possibilities tend to infinite.
This font -and a group of pictograms related to it- was used for a digital presentation of Hiroshi Hara’s work at the Architecture School in Montevideo, in a exhibition at the CCE in Montevideo in 2004, as well as in the project “LOVETOUR:” that I developed from LOGO between 2004 and 2006.
